Bookings & Cancellations
Blue Lagoon CYC Inc. is available for hire by groups who undertake to abide by the Terms and Conditions of Hire and whose activities and conduct do not conflict with Christian principles. All bookings are subject to the approval of the Blue Lagoon Committee of Management.
Confirmation A booking is not considered confirmed until the accompanying Application form and deposit is received, and a confirmation letter is sent from Blue Lagoon CYC Inc. Any quotation of fees is only regarded as final when given in writing. Please confirm final numbers 10 days prior to camp. This helps in the ordering and preparation of food.
Fees Catered camps: Fees are inclusive of all required meals, morning and afternoon teas and suppers where appropriate, and the use of facilities on arrangement with management. A separate registration fee applies to day visitors, which includes morning and afternoon teas. Fees may be considered confirmed once quoted in writing.
Camp fees are to be paid in the following manner:
Deposit: The deposit is payable in advance and must be sent along with the Application form by the date indicated on the Application form. (The deposit will be retained by Blue Lagoon if the camp is cancelled in less than 60 days prior to the commencement date of the camp. See ‘Cancellations’ below).
Balance: Under normal circumstances, all groups are to pay the balance owing by the end of the camp or within 7 days of the completion of the camp. Other fee payment arrangements must be made by prior negotiation only with camp management.
Please note: The client group should confirm numbers attending 7 days prior to camp. In the advent of a lesser number attending the account payable will be based on the number advised 7 days prior to camp. If the number attending is greater than the number advised then this greater number will be payable.
Minimum Charge Policy Blue Lagoon CYC Inc. has a minimum charge policy of 20 persons.
Cancellations Blue Lagoon CYC Inc. is in demand all year round, the policy is to protect Camp against late cancellations, whereby given enough notice, the site could have been booked. A camp may be cancelled 60 or more days before the booking without incurring any penalty. If cancellation is made in less than 60 days) the deposit will be forfeited.
